A friend of mine is selling a few of these GE 2300 series DC series wound motors he picked up for a real deal. His asking price is an insanely reasonable $1000. These motors have
interpoles to extend the torque band of the motor, a very nice feature. My friend works at a brush manufacturer and has worked on the Warp series motors and says these motors are a good deal nicer than those. The brush holders are much more robust as is the commutator material. This motor is extremely well built.

This spec sheet for the motors shows data for 2 models of motor and the better of the 2 is the 2300 series, (Circled). All of these motors are the 2300 series and this will be shown with the nameplate pic.
This shows the nameplate information, notice how the HP rating appears to be only 5.89, as the 1 is typed partially into the black area of the nameplate so the rating is actually 15.89 HP. The data sheet hints that the HP rating can be much more as the voltage can be as high as 240. So the 2300 series motors are good for up to 240 V, 214 A, and 9000 RPM. If we use these to the max it could easily be 57 HP and much more for short time period.

He is asking $1000 plus shipping, or pickup. He is located in Brown Deer, Wisconsin. PM me for his contact info. I'd rather not post his email for the spam bots to pick up.
