gas turbine Beetle

Jet Beetle
Perhaps the idea could be reworked into an energy efficient hybrid? Use a smaller turbine with features like heat recovery, intercooling, water injection, etc. along with a "series" hybrid drivetrain? (Note that it would not be all series since engine thrust would make it partly parallel.)

The fun part would be driving in EV mode, waiting for an annoying tailgater in a SUV. Then switch to hybrid mode and the pressure zone formed should push the tailgater back while propelling your car. (Bear in mind that an efficient gas turbine does not shoot flames.)

you know, old low bypass jet engines would shoot flames when starting.

Why not three? After all, he's already done one on a Beetle, and two on a bike!
