Gas Turbine Engine+Hydraulic Hybrid system = higher efficiency drivetrain?

Hi guys,

Wanted to throw this idea out for some critical reviews. when looking at the best possible way to transfer the heat energy to the tires, this seems like a good way (at least in theory!).

basically, have a hydraulic hybrid system(one with all the bugs ironed out) mated to a turboshaft engine(possibly with recirculating exhaust gas implemented to minimise propulsive losses further). im not an expert by any means, but it seems to beat an ICE driven HHV in operation & efficiency.

mind you this is just a conceptual idea. what do you guys think? any experts on thermo care to bounce a few ideas on this (or to bunk it) ?

Make it a diesel instead of a turbine.

I have been researching small turbines genset for some time
check out Capstone turbine.

Also have you seen the Poclain hydraulics AddiDrive motors?
On their site they are called MF hydrobases.

They came by my work and demoed their flag ship semi truck, they locked up the rear axle with the air brakes, and drove the truck forward from a dead stop with the two front wheel assist motors, skidding all 8 of the rear truck tires at 30mph.
Very impressive.
