come on. if you haven't tried it, why bash it. i gave the others a good remark.
UG works on MY diesel. lots of functions show up and gives me plenty of options. OP might not have a diesel so point is mute.
setting up pages took a few minutes. as long as you have paper, a pen, you can choose what you want to display. up to 8 pages, 8 gauges, per. HUH?
couple of weeks. obvious you haven't used one. really simple to set up. even a person like me can do it. and....
i fail a thousand times but it just keeps me trying. (Kasey Chambers)heard of her oldtamiyaphile? she's doing a tour in the states right now but i have to miss it. not everyone lives in western Australia.

I am not the most competent member, it seems like few things are simple for me, except setting up the Ultragauge. That was pretty quick. The only advance setting I remember using was enabling DFCO recognition. It worked great until my ex broke it.

UG works on MY diesel.
Does it correctly report DFCO? If not it doesn't do it's primary function of accurately recording fuel usage IMO (not doing DFCO for diesels is stated in the literature IIRC). So I moved it to a petrol car, despite reading the manual and advice on here, there was no way to get it to work as a 'hybrid'. Took me a couple of weeks trying the various settings with no luck (and I'd hate to have to re do this every time I move from one car to another - which I do fairly often with SGII). With SGII I just select 'hybrid' and it works on every car. Of my cars, my UG only works on my Jeep (I haven't tried to get it to hybrid mode on the Jeep as there's little point - I haven't driven it yet this year in any case).

Do you EOC? Without getting the 'hybrid' set up correctly, UG shuts down and then misses half your pulse entirely. I could quite easily get 100mpg by just keeping UG in it's sleep mode. I know I'm not the only who's had this (except he eventually got his to work).

Just sharing my experience, remember that the laws of physics still apply to those of us upside-down. Totally go see Kasey, maybe ask her if she prefers SGII or UG

And for the record, I have UG, SGII, MPGuino and UTComp. I'm thinking of buying a second SGII, but would have no use for another UG.

Bingo! We have a winner.

If you KNOW what you WANT to KNOW, use SGII. But, if you don't KNOW what you WANT to KNOW, use UG.

don't forget an Android phone and a OBD2 bluetooth reader. ~$40 and countless mpg and driving programs.
