Gen 1 Insight and Metro convertible
I've seen both of these cars on my commute, but haven't stopped to get info. They both appear to be in good shape(from the road, anyway). The Insight is at a house and the metro is at a UC Dealership. If anyone is GENUINELY interested, as in you might actually travel here to get either one, I will stop to get numbers and inspect to the best of my ability. If I had the money, that Insight would already be mine! Almost forgot, Insight is brown( I thought they were all red ) and Metro is blue.

I'm always on the lookout for a good deal on an Insight, preferably a high mileage one with a dead battery. Vermont isn't too far out of my way.
Brown? They were mostly painted silver, but blue, red, and citrus (lime green) were also offered.

I'll try to swing in by the weekend to see what's what. Maybe take a pic or two.

If I won a $10,000 dollar scratch off game I would take you up on the offer.

Stopped for the Insight. Owner wasn't home. The Lady of the house said that he( the owner) wasn't entirely sure that he wanted to get rid of it( despite parking it next to the road, which around here means "For Sale". Turns out it has a cracked block, but the electrics were good right up 'til the motor went. I left my name and number, give him a week, and stop by again, just incase.

A cracked block is a good start, though it means it would need to be towed home. It also sounds like the owner thinks it's worth a fairly large amount of money. What flavor transmission?

I didn't think to look in the car for trans set up and didn't ask. I got the impression that the owner was a hypermiler/lurker and was more torn between fixing and selling. The woman I spoke to said he was getting almost 100mpg out of it.
