geo metro reincarnated?

Talking about the Opel Adam. Supposedly there are plans to come out with a 3 cylinder 1 Liter engine. Yes, yes, I know it won't be actually the same as a Geo Metro. In this one you might survive a serious collision, however.

The Geo Metro reincarnated? I owned a 3-cylinder 1L MT for 10 years and loved every minute of it. New to America this fall is the Chevy Spark (which started as the Daewoo Matiz in the rest of the world in 1998). It is coming to America first with the 1.2L 4-cylinder. It has never been offered with a 3-cyl but perhaps they 'might' bring it in in the future with their 995cc I4 engine.

I didn't see any mention in that article of mpgs. Unless it gets at least 50 mpg whats the point of having something so tiny?
