I know this thread sort of skewed from no traffic signs to roundabouts but to add, one nice thing about roundabouts is they don't fail when the electricity does.

shockware, I see English may be a second language for you, so the grammar may be a bit more difficult. you should have said Aren't road signs.....

And I think the article glossed over a bit about Europe, in that there tends to be too many road signs to begin with!

I've always found traffic lights to work best when there is no power, people actually pay attention and are patient of other road users.

But removing road signs would leave only the information which is painted on the road's surface, which often isn't visible in the snow or rain, or from far away.
