Keeping to a target speed and observing the "rabbits", seeing where they get stuck or get through easily, helps you decide which lane to take in order to preserve momentum.
That's why I named mine "Turtle".

I keep it slow and steady and time the lights, and the hotheads that blow by me on the stretch get to see me pass them at the next light, when they're starting from a dead stop and I'm rolling by them at 40 mph. There are some days I'll pass the same guy at 5 or 6 lights all the way down the road as I'm getting 70 mpg.

Thanks for checking in fellow EM's.

I have yet to give the speech. It's been postponed twice. I'm scheduled to give it in two weeks though, Wed 2/4/15. I'll keep you posted!

haha! We'll, the speech was 5-6 minutes. I spoke 8 minutes, then had to cut. Only got through half my content and was rushing like crazy to get through the last half, but didn't. Oh man, it was a bomb! BUT, people seemed to enjoy it, somehow. I THINK I may have a recording somewhere, but I'm too embarrassed to post it up

I need to do a seminar on this topic, apparently. Not a speech, ha!!

Sorry I didn't update. Honestly, I was a bit too embarrased to, due to the timing issues I had within the speech.

All, I appreciate your support on the planning of this speech. It help A LOT!

Hey, that's the whole point of Toastmasters: giving people a safe place to fail while learning how to do public speaking. Getting up and doing it is a success on its own.
