Gm factory leanburn

Was cruising the corvette forums and came across a guy claiming he went into the stock software of his tpi corvette and found the leanburn setting but it is disabled from factory. Anyone else ever came across this or heard of it? Sounds possible. I know Chrysler on purpose runs the 4.0l inline six motors rich to extend the life of the cat.

Maybe this is location dependent? The 5th-gen (1992-1995) Honda Civic VX hatchback had lean-burn in the USA, but the programming was weakened in California to meet emissions regulations.

All of GM's LSx engines have lean cruise saved in the ECU but its disabled on US market cars. Its switched on in places like australia etc where lean AFRs are allowed. Don't expect a huge FE gain but its worth something.
