An update on this old thread. After keeping my daily log for over a year now, I now have hardly any times when I don't understand why my mileage is good/bad. After keeping track of it for so long, you get a pretty good feel for how wind, temperature, red lights, stops, traffic, etc.

Just goes to show you how much a daily log can help.

Man & machine . . it's a bit disconcerning to understand that the truck needs only a pair of eyes to interpret data as it is otherwise fully in charge.
