I got just over $2000 for my 2000 Firefly (same car, 1.0L with a 5 speed). It had 118k KMs (73k miles), but it was pretty much flawless other than some scratches and dings. And it had a new timing belt, and 4 new tires. And even then it took a while to sell. For $2000 you want something that is ready to go, not a project.
