Grill Block - Feedback?

Hey Everyone,

I am planning on adding a grill block. I don't want to replace my current grill just yet. I want to either put the block in front of the current grill or behind the current grill.

Option 1: Probably would be slightly more aerodynamic, because wind wouldn't get trapped in the small space created by the grill in front of my grill block.

Option 2: Would certainly look better to me, because it is less visible (if even noticeable).

I hope the image I've attached makes this clear. What do you think? If I go with option 2, will I be missing out on some FE that could be gained by going with option 1? Thanks for your feedback!

The difference probably won't be noticeable as long as the rear mounted block is more or less air tight. But if you want stealth, then make it clear and in front, like mcrews':
