Propane is good and it is cheap. In Europe mostly in estern parts, people drive cars on propane. They even have propane gas stations. You start the car on gas and switch to propane in seconds. MPG boosts by 5%- 10%

Why would you not just start the car on propane?

Some of the best propane engines have tuning such that they can't run on gasoline safely... those are the efficient ones.
