I spilled some oil on my wrapped header recently...it just smoked off like normal.

Yea the fear around oil on header wrap is minimal. It takes a hell of a lot of oil on the wrap to actually catch fire. The Silicone spray lube also helps reduce this problem, as well as using non-fiberglass wrap.
