Headway traction pack

Recently decided to take the lithium plunge and decided upon headway 16ah cells. Here's an initial video on the plan thus far:

What made you want to go with the headway cells vs TS or other prismatic type cell?

I got a good deal on a quantity of the 16ah cells. Price i couldnt refuse I was going to use them for the motorbike but decided to take the plunge and add a few more and make a pack for the car.

Figured it was time to work off some of that turkey today so decided to do a few hours in the workshop. Pictures tell the tale. The company that was supposed to supply the aliminium tubes for the corners let me down badly. Not wanting to be held up any further i improvised spacers by parting off some 20mm pvc electrical conduit on the lathe to 200mm. Will do the job until the aluminium eventually arrives.

Oh and Merry Christmas everyone

Jack,

I recently went through your BMW build site....nice job. I was wondering if you could provide some information on where you got the motor that you are using. The specs on the data plate would fit my application very well. Also, what gear do you typically drive your car in?

Thanks...
Rick

The motor came from a 72v mitsubishi 4 ton forklift. I use 3rd and 4th mainly and 5th for motorway driving.
