Hello everyone!!! I'm relatively new to the efficient driving scene so i will probably need some help from time to time. I am no stranger to working on cars and have performed most of the modifications to my vehicles. I own two mustangs, a 2006 GT and a 1995 GT. The '06 is a part-time street/strip car and will not be logged on this site but the '95 will as its the daily driver. I have just finished college and am currently looking for a job i my field, which will (hopefully) allow for the purchase of a more fuel efficient vehicle. I think of hypermiling as a game which really helps maximize my MPG's. Well thats about all I can think of at the moment. If you have any questions feel free to ask!

A good start is to have a look at the hypermiling tips and start practicing as many of them as possible.

Look over the list every now and then, when you've already picked up some new habits, you can start trying out a few new tricks.

Depending on wether you want to mod your car, look over the modifications list.
Some of them, like adding a grille block and belly pan or removing spads can be done relatively stealthy if you don't want to ruin the look of the car.

You picked the right place to join.. this place suits everyone from Gentle Hypermilers (me!) with no mods to dedicated hypermilers (countless folk with shares in Coroplast!)

Thanks! i've already ordered some coroplast to block off the lower grill, the under side of the front bumper, and foglights as well as the hood vents and sidescoops, also to replace the factory air dam with a slightly larger one along with a MPGuino to record the changes these mods make.

Don't make it too deep.
That way you're increasing the frontal area, which increases drag.

Going as low as the lowest part sticking out underneath is enough.

Yea I know the lowest part of my car is the exhaust. I'll have to measure it and then go from there on the size plus I don't want to drag on dips and driveways in my town...
