I have a 2011 GMC Sierra 4x4 and I am interested in trying to mod my truck to see if I can get better mileage. I know...why did I buy this truck if I knew it sucks gas? Well, in 2011 gas wasnt over 3.00 a gallon. Besides I need a truck for various reasons. Looking forward to see how I can improve my mileage... Its a challange!

Some aeromods can be cheap and efficient, and eventually you can also take some dead weight away.

BTW which engine and transmission is fitted in your truck? What about the cab and bed size?

Welcome! Where abouts it bama? There are several 100% gas station I frequent in the north. Might be worth testing out to see if it helps with your truck or not. My car, the cost/mile is better, but your truck might be different. The normal suggestion here is tire pis, and slowing down.

Im from Harvest, Alabama which is north west of Huntsville, Al.
Not sure what you meant about 100% gas station, but I used suggested 87 octane and I have researched about using a higher octane but it said it wouldnt help any.
I wanna put teneau on the bed. That should help some. Im working on putting belly plates to eliminate resistance up above the frame into the body area. I have 5 3/4 bed, 4.8 litre engine 302 HP...not sure what Tranny is in it and My mileage is like 18 to 19 HWY.

100% is 0% ethanol. There are some I go to in Moulton, and Muscle Shoals. Should be available closer, since its quite popular in bama.

19 isn't too bad, I get 12-13 in my truck (wasn't built or driven for mileage).

A cover won't help much much. There's a old mythbusters on the subject.

Pans would be a good idea. These trucks are nasty on the bottom. Some much hanging out into the airflow.
