Unhappy hello! new member with 2003 HCH

Hello everyone! I am a new member here and am about to go crazy with my 2003 HCH!

I have a neighbor who bought a new battery from Honda for her 2004 HCH about 6 months ago. Well she was rear ended and the car was totalled by the insurance company so she offered her battery to me. GREAT! Well, we swapped the batteries and that was a month ago and the now we find the battery is no good per the dealer because the battery is overheating. Don't forget the warranty, well, Honda will only cover the cost if it is in the car it was bought for.

Anyway, while i work out that with Honda what can I do to get this like new battery back to life?

Thanks!

Welcome to the site!

Is your HCH a manual or auto? As Daox pointed out, people have found ways to repair the IMA system on the cheap. They have even managed to disable the IMA system and run on gas only, which can actually increase your fuel economy on the highway.
