HELP!! Quick question
Making a run on the highway tomorrow, and I am packing an 8' + extension ladder.
So, tailgate up and a turbulator that is 12" above the gate and protrudes 16" beyond or
Tailgate down and ladder flat?
Yes, I have a short bed truck

Would it fit gate-up if laid in the box diagonally?
Ha- open the rear cab window if you can and let the front of it be in the cab.

Ok I think I have something....
I have a small sawhorse, and I can put that in the front of the bed. this way at least the ladder is not sticking up there.
The rotating ball of air that usually forms there is going to get messed up though. Seems like a no-win situation.

Do that and secure a full sheet of plywood over it for a faux aerocap.

I have seen some stuff strapped to the bottom of float planes in Alaska. Big freaking boats!

I've had this ladder for 25 years or so, a fiberglass type 1A. It is just about indestructible.
I will get a folder for the new trailer, because you can get it so short. I may even get it sooner and stow it on the back bumper of this one and remove the factory ladder up the back. It is not helping the aero, and the roof of this trailer is not really stout enough to walk all over. I'd rather have a ladder I can set where I need it.
