Hi I am new and a complete newb!!!

Hi I have my car for a year now and looking for tips to make it more fuel efficient. Its a 2002 z28 camaro with a ls1 in it. I bought it because its supposed to be one of the most fuel efficient v8s out there.

I know it isn't a geo metro or anything but can any of ya guys give me tips? and no i won't pull out the v8 right now i get about 25-30 mpg on the highway with a modded trans. the trans has a higher stall converter so = less mpg but i won't take that out either.

Welcome to EM,

An LS1 V8, huh? Well, there are some power/economy folks here, that I'm sure can help you with the specifics of your kind of car. But, the general ecodriving techniques will still apply -- check out the list!

NeilBlanchard-

well i actually do alot of those driving moves already. i live in a big city and i drive my car maybe once a week. i don't use my breaks very often and coast in N alot when it comes to stoplights and stopsigns. i try to never drive in in climate weather.

luvit-

I was kinda toying with the idea not really for mpgs but it equates to that too... perhaps i should as i hate being chauffeur anyway.

Welcome Mr. Ryon. I'm sure there're all kinds of aero mods you can do to your z28 :-).

Happy coasting.
