Hi all

Hi i'm Franck an I'm the proud owner of a honda element 2003. I stumbled on this forum by accident but find it very interesting. I just bought the torque app, and getting into the eco driving mode. After that I will probably try inflating the tires and modding the bumper to remove the dimple where there is suppose to be fogs.

Any other input are welcome.

Thanks

Welcome to the Ecomodder community, Franck!

You are doing well by getting Torque. Having instant information is crucial to maximizing your mpgs. Inflating your tires is another excellent mod, I recommend going to sidewall max to start.

Since you live in Montreal, a grill block would likely help your warmup time.

Your right, it's definitely on my list, probably the top grill first. I'm just waiting for solid mpgs number before doing any mods, to make sure it's inproving my mpg.

That's understandable. A good baseline will show you how far you have come down the road. Now that is both interesting and inspiring after a while!

Is your Element a manual or auto? I just checked out your vehicle on Google Images, and there's quite a bit that can be done aerodynamically.

Excellent there is a lot more you can do with a manual in terms of fuel economy. We will get to all that later.

Be sure to start a fuel log for your Element. It is located in the Garage section, at the very tip top of the page. Darin (MetroMPG) has made it easy to keep track of you mileage there

Wishing you the best in your endeavors!
