Hi from Thailand

Hi everyone, my name's Jonathan, I'm a British teacher working in Thailand and I joined this forum to learn about ecomodding and getting more out of my Chevrolet Aveo in terms of saving fuel.
I recently joined the aveoforum and ordered a Scan Gauge E which should help, but I've gathered that the Aveo, which is a rebadged Daewoo, isn't exactly famed for it's fuel efficiency. I found one funny thread from another Aveo owner titled 'Solved poor Aveo fuel economy' - turned out he'd traded his in for a Ford Fiesta - Ha!
Most of my driving is between 30-60mph with lots of stop/start queues. My car is 1.4l manual transmission, and I'm averaging around 28-29mpg at present using E20 fuel which means 20% ethanol. I found this site via google and saw some threads about other members eco-modding the Aveo, so now I've joined I should be able to view the pictures.
Best regards to everyone

Sawadee Krap! You may have a thriftier drivetrain. The smallest Aveo engine we have in the USA is a 1.6 liter. Do you know your gear ratios?
