Hello from Texas and a question
I'm in Texas with a 2000 Honda Accord. Can't get the 60+ mpg the other hypermileage people get, but i'm still trying.
Question: Mythbusters just had their hypermileage program and one of their cars had a "slippery skin" applied. I missed this completely. What was the "slippery skin" they applied?
I have checked the mythbusters site, but the program was just aired, so there is no information.

Yes, 42 sidewall, but I'm going through the 109 things to do for hypermileage listed here. Some of these were new to me, so I should be able to improve on my mileage even more. The 2000 Accord automatic only gets 26 mpg by EPA Honda, and I can get 38+ mph even at the 75 mph speed limit out here. Flat country limits coasting, but pulse and glide works.

Welcome to the forums, Joggernot!
My advice would be to skip the slippery skin, it's the "magic bullet" kind of B.S. that the Mythbusters love. Spend that money on something useful, like an Scangauge or Ultragauge!

I have had a ScanGage for many years (since their first version) and love it.
I'm lucky enough to live in a small town that allows modified golf carts on city streets that have a speed limit of 35 or less. So about 1 1/2 years ago I bought a very used electric golf cart, made the modifications, plus adding larger wheels and street tires, for the short trips around town. Definitely saves gasoline. Range is only 10-15 miles, but the town is only 4 miles from end to end. Because I'm retired I don't have the long work commute anymore. Knees and hips don't allow walking or biking anymore, so the cart has been a lifesaver.
