What's your cpm (cents per mile)

I'm curious to know what sort of costs some of you guys are seeing for driving. I know my car (the VX) has great fuel economy, but with gas averaging $4.68 per US gallon since I've been driving it, I've been running at an average of 8 cents per mile (fuel). I'm curious to know how this compares to others, especially south of the border with cheaper fuel.

Edit: 8 cents/ mile (fuel)
2.5 (insurance)
0.75 cent/ mile (misc, oil etc)

So my total is closer to 11.25.

The price right now at my preferred gas station is $3.639, and my lifetime ecodriving average is about 46MPG, so that is about 8 cents/mile. My regular maintenance at the Toyota dealer is about 3.5 cents/mile, so that totals 11.5cents/mile.

You are currently destroying my cents-per-mile, as mine hovers around $0.10.
EDIT: I do next-to no EOC (I only EOC when coasting to my parking spot), and drive a fair mix of freeway and city.

Haven't kept track of exact figures, but at $3.50/gal and 70 mpg in the Insight, it works out to 5 cpm for the gas. Figure $20 for oil (expensive 0W20 synthetic) & filter every 7500 miles adds another quarter of a cent or so. Registration & insurance adds maybe 2-3 cpm.

North of the border with ~4.75$(CAN)/gallon (US). For now with the mazda I have spent 185.30$(CAN) in gas and I did 1316.25 Miles.

14¢/mile (gas) + 1.4 ¢/mile (insurrance) = 15.4¢/mile without counting maintenance.

I'm really jealous of a lot of your prices for fuel! I would LOVE to see $3.50/ gallon.
I should update mine to include insurance.

I was talking with a guy at work about whether or not it made sense to have a company car vice getting paid mileage which I believe is somewhere around 55 cents/mile currently. He says having the company car was better. I disagreed.

If you buy a TDI (about 25K) and put 30K a year which is quite possible, I believe you could make out quite well if you could get 5 years out of it, especially if you do your own maintenance. I would think that cpm would be 15 cents or under not including depreciation with leaves quite a bit to cover that.

You could do even better if you bought used.

Fiesta=8 cents gas
Ranger=10 cents "
Tu250X=4 cents "

Probably higher now with the recent price rise, lower in summer with better mileage, but don't know the price yet.
Fiesta is $260 a year for insurance. In 12 k miles I have done one oil change (7500 miles) 10 k recommended.
Ranger is probably lower.
Bikes are right at $100 each.
Total cost per mile? The Ranger got some tlc with new transmission fluid, tires, difff gear lube, wiper blade assemblies. Maybe $475 total on the $1650 pid for the truck. So far no oil consumption, lots of elbo grease in cleaning the the filthy interior. Couple hundred for the cap materials.
So far on the bike one oil change at 3k, another one coming up at 6 k. Two quarts of synthetic and a filter, maybe $20. It will need the tires replaced. I have them waiting for the rear tire wear to get marginal for a state inspection.
I do most all of my own maintenance, took the used oil container to my old shop and gave them 9 gallons this winter, probably 3 years worth.
Have yet to replace a single light bulb on the 1971 CB350, they are all 42 years old!

regards
Mech
