I thought you were talking about the frame with infinitely small radii. That's the en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vesica_piscis

Maybe we're comparing apples and lemons https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lemon_(geometry)
Quote:
In geometry, a lemon is a geometric shape, constructed as the surface of revolution of a circular arc of angle less than half of a full circle, rotated about an axis passing through the endpoints of the lens (or arc). The surface of revolution of the complementary arc of the same circle, through the same axis, is called an apple.

Half of a self-intersecting torus
The apple and lemon together make up a self-crossing torus, the surface of revolution of the entire circle, with the apple as the outer shell of the torus and the lemon as its inner shell. The lemon forms the boundary of a convex set, while its surrounding apple is non-convex.

Footballs are lemons.

This will never come up again, right, because I will never remember that name!
I don't know what the technical name for the hole made in the first video, but it isn't a square!

Prolly not. It's called the Brickyard, although there's only a stripe of brick left for old time's sake.

Daytona International Speedway - Wikipedia
Daytona's tri-oval is 2.500 mi (4.023 km) long with 31° banking in the turns and 18° banking at the start/finish line. The front straight is 3,800 ft (1,200 m) long and the back straight (or "superstretch") is 3,000 ft (910 m) long. The tri-oval shape was revolutionary at the time as it greatly improved sight lines for fans.

I know, I always remember is as Picisis Vesica. But be aware it is the basis for Sacred Geometry. The Flower of Life.
