My brother in law is an engineer and engine designer, and while I am not an engineer I do have a strong physics background and have discussed many aspects of engine design and combustion processes with my brother in law.
If you draw different conclusions from the same data, at least one of us is missing the point.
I cannot convince you, but I don't see that as my problem.
