Cd
I did a speed-read through the article.Didn't see any drag data.
The original 1969 Datsun(Nissan) 240 Z had Cd 0.546.
The original E Type was estimated @ Cd 0.45.

It's so weird how such sporty looking cars back in the day had terrieble Cd, the newer SUV's have a better Cd than the 240z

Are you sure of that 240Z Cd figure?
I've seen 0.465 or 0.467 quoted before, but nothing that high.
At least Datsun tried harder with the 280zx, it's usually quoted as 0.385

Jaguar had as many misses with their aero work as they did hits.
The C type overheated and all cars failed to finish at Le Mans. The D type did better.
The E type had a number about equal to a VW Kombi bus...around .45 as mentioned above.
The early XJ's did little better with .41 but the number was quoted with so many "adjustments" is was virtually meaningless.
The managed somewhat better after ditching Malcom Sayer and getting people under Ford's management who actually knew what they were doing.
Peter.

No kidding! Most cars, vans, and SUVs today have lower Cds than the Corvette had when I was in college.

Fortunately we can still bash them with their enormous frontal area.
I love my 280Z.

I second that figure based on several sources.
Datsun/Nissan actually performed water tunnel testing on the 240Z .
I used to have a Z car and it was like slamming on the brakes every time I tried to coast in that car. Absolutely horrible aerodynamics for such a sleek looking design.
