Then there's the really rich. They have a moon-pool for their submarine in their yacht.

The upkeep of the 590-foot super yacht Azzam, owned by President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates, is estimated at $75 million per year.

I wonder how many people could live on that yacht without him ever noticing.
I am just rich enough to usually be able to afford new tires.

Maybe the king needs a speech therapist? Even better than living on the yacht for free is being paid to be there.
I met a girl once who was on vacation from her job serving a private yacht. She said it was something like $250,000 just to fuel the thing prior to departure. She was well compensated for her service. The thought of getting paid well to take kids out on jetskis sounded like a dream. Then she told me how much it sucked ironing the sheets for the beds every morning.

Did she need to carry all of the sheets for the entire yacht, the ironing board, and the iron uphill both ways barefoot in the snow? Is one notch on her driver's seat too far and the other too close?
Life is pretty hard for some people.

I once knew a guy who ran an independent trash hauling service. He picked up trash in a few wealthy neighborhoods. He outfitted his kitchen with appliances and his living room with furniture that he picked up; there was nothing wrong with it, it wasn't very old at all. Must have been the wrong color?

I knew a guy that got work picking up trash in a University neighborhood. Every Spring the students shed everything.
He started taking some nuggets home and the other workers just laughed at him because they were already over doing that.

Well, when you've picked up everything you need, why get more?
I have to admit that I did buy the neighbor's Shopsmith and a few other tools, and picked up a few other potentially usefut things (like a Windows tablet that I hope to turn into a Linux one) that would otherwise have been trashed.

They were laughing at the noob.
I got my Shopsmith at an estate sale for $100 and rolled it home down the sidewalk. It has a complete set of wood chisels; but it's in a queue for restoration.
Speaking of middle of nowhere — I plan on being at my brother's house for the Solar eclipse. My son will bring his drone and I'm hoping we can get an elevated drone shot of his property with the shadow[s] passing over it. There is a rolling hill of farmland to the West.

I'll be at my family's farm in Salem. I was thinking of getting a drone for the event, or perhaps one of those 360 degree cameras. I've already got a filter for the camera, and a remote shutter release that I can program to take a snapshot every few seconds.
1 week for me to figure it out!
