how much is a 1997 toyota tercel ce worth with 153,909 miles and the body looks very clean? the vehicle is in alabama so rust from salt on roads should not be a problem! edmunds dealer retail is $1700.00 edmunds person selling price is about $1200.00! how much would you pay?

i paid 1000 for a pretty abused one, if its cherry 2000 is reasonable

I sold my 96 Tercel to my cousin last year for $2000. It was also in excellent condition and the only problem was that it burns oil (cold A/C, similar miles, excellent paint and interior). Now-a-days I can't find something similar on craigslist for under $2500. You can at least get $2000. The CE is also the high trim model making it worth a little bit more.

Use Psychology, Pay $1200, but split the money into two pockets, one with $1000 and the other with $200 or leave it in your wallet. When you discuss money, pull out the $1000 and count it out as if you were checking to see how much you have on you, offer it. If he won't take $1000 cash, start to put it away, most people do not like the sight of another putting cash away.

If he/she doesn't budge then check your wallet for the other $100 or $200 and pay it.

Either way its a good deal.
