Hybrid conversion for awd with viscous clutch?

I was watching a youtube video on "south main auto" about troubleshooting an electromagnetic clutch on a Kia Sportage. The coupling was on a drive shaft that fed a rear differential to provide awd. With the clutch disengaged, the car was fwd only.
So could one use the setup to couple with an electric motor and either boost the ICE, or drive the vehicle?

Outlander PHEV, gas/electric FWD, electric RWD.

DYI would be tough IMO.

Sounds like something similar to Peugeot's Hybrid4 setup would serve you right. But it doesn't require a driveshaft.

There was a similar clutch setup for MOLT TAYLOR Aerocar, unless early onset senior dementia set in on the name.
