Hypermiling bumpercam footage

So I got a Cannon shot camera free from a storage unit cleanout job. But I don't have a charger. It still has 80% battery so I decided to duct tape it to my airdam about 2 inches from the ground. And go for a drive.

Just a boring hypermiler's driving around the highways south of baltimore.
65-55 P&G. Mostly DWL on hills.

Watching that made me feel like you were going really fast. How was your FE during that run? I'd expect it to be pretty high considering you did mostly highway driving and only stopped once or twice.

That was only half of my trip because the camera has a 10 Minute cuttoff I didn't know about.

I got 47.6 MPG for that trip. 22.4 miles. Record high is 54 at night time 60-45 P&G.

It does seem really fast!
65-55 from 2" off the ground.It scraped hard later in my drive was sure it fell off but It was still on when I got home

I like these videos because I can watch my own driving after I have done it and I can witness mistakes I have made and remember to correct them next time.

In the video leaves were hitting the camera and you can hear the crunch.

I have watched a little footage from my dash cam app. A friend was over and we laughed when Dash, which is not a dash cam app, told me that I accelerated 31 MPH in 1.7 seconds, and I said "Shut your flying face."

Hypermiling driving is not the most exciting to watch.but anyway ill post a few more bumper cam videos before the battery dies. and put it up on craigslist for $5 if it makes it that long!!

And basically all of my driving is on the highway in the right lane getting tailgated and finally passed after they figure out I'm going from 45-55-65. If you notice I am the slowest car on the highway but in this video never below the speed-limit!!

If you can find a charger for a canon PC1472 you can have it. although it is a little scratched up.

Isn't it weird that people always tailgate on the interstate? There's always another lane that you can safely pass me in, but they never use it. Sometimes I think that they want to draft me, but then I notice that they are driving a GT Mustang with racing stripes and have their turn signal on. The weird thing is that I always pull up next to them at the exit

Cool! The low mounted camera really gives the impression of speed, even when it isn't there.
