How to tell if a vehicle has a CVT (not very efficient) find an open space to do a full throttle run for at least a few seconds and see if it holds near the redline/max power point, or if it does the traditional shift-n-drop.

Oh, I know that it has CVT, I knew it did before we bought it, I was just wondering if the AVENGER had CVT.
On the plus side... It's an auto-stick version (aka, electronic clutch). I can shift it when I want to, it has 6 selectable gear ratio's, so it's not so automatic like in terms of FE, where you can't force really early up shifts and etc. so there's an advantage here.
I've driven the Caliber from here at the Indiana border to the Springfield, MO where my grandma lives, around the branson area, and the Kansas city area where my cousin and uncle live. and back. No grindy noises or anything.
I'm just wondering what I can pull with it when I get it. If anything it will be a lot better than the ZJ.
