Cool!

Diesels are easier to hypermile. All you have to do is floor it and you're at top efficiency. Then use the gear shift to select as high of a gear you can tolerate for acceleration (without lugging and shaking your skin off of your bones).

I can't wait to get my 1985 VW diesel's timing belt changed and get it back on the road.

I only got to see the turbocharged version of this engine, in the early Kia Sportage.
