actually it just so happened that it was a "leftover", it took me about two days worth of searching and a 20 mile trip to get there (i know, not very far) anyhow it was a great experience buying it and i plan on keeping this vehicle for a long while. the frist dealer i went to tried to sell me a lx, i told him that i really wanted a dx, he "looked" in his database and told me that there wasnt one in the state because no one wants a dx manual.... yeah you know how that turned out

Wow, I didn't think Honda offered any cars stripped down anymore. I'll bet you'll find a plug for an aftermarked stereo behind a cover and that your car has all the speakers wired in.
My 03 tracker came this way, no AC or radio, $199 later I've got a better than factory radio and a dedicated subwoofer output and an ipod jack...
We haven't bothered to add AC yet and probably never will. We got ours in silver for its sun reflecting properties.

yeah, i already checked out the stereo, everything but the headunit is there, i have my eye on a headunit with gps and (i dont care about the following feature) dvd capabilities. all for under 800 and the similar factory setup would have cost over 2000, quite the difference. i found that you can buy the whole a/c kit for 900 but i dont want/need a/c so its not going to happen.

Ever been to crutchfield.com? they've got some amazing deals on speakers and subs there and they're very reputable. I got 2 12" Kenwood subs for $130. They're priced at $99 a piece, which means I got them for $65 each! Kenwood subs for cheaper than walmart Sony's??? Pretty sweet deal to me. Oh, and free shipping on orders over $129, and in Wisconsin It'll get to you in 2-4 days. for me it's 2-3 days. For what your ordering shipping is free! And 3 day shipping is more expensive than ground...
