People travelling among the places that exist between metro areas? Or driving late at night because it's cooler, there's less traffic (theoretically, anyway), or they're just night people?

My folks bought an '87 Shasta. Its a class c on a chevy chassis with a 350 carbuerated. Not a horrible rv, but 30 years takes its toll on anything. They're in Moro Bay right now, on their way up to Oregon.

I think they overpayed for it, AND then dropped money on renovating it, AND spent money on "deferred maintenance", AND spent $1000+ to replace 7 14-year old tires. Glad it's not my money.

OTOH, I live in a house that was built in the '60s, and everything but the drivetrain of an RV should be more house-like than car-like, no? FTM, I drive an '88 Toyota pickup.

Yeah, but lighter. And cheaper... materials-wise, not cost wise!
