C'mon - Neil deGrasse Tyson is from the Bronx. As he relates in the first episode, he visited Carl Sagan as a 17 year old, and because of the first Cosmos, Neil Tyson already knew what he want to do.
The third episode in broadcast in less than 30 minutes - so go watch it!

Ann Druyan authored this new series...she was Carl's "significant other" until he passed away.

Yes, I saw that she was involved, which is a good thing. My daughter and I watched the 3rd episode last night together and that too, is a good thing.

Q: is it just my Freudian Mind or does his "space ship" look like a vertical "sperm" from Woody Allen's movie (wink, wink)?

Nah, that's just you! It looks like a presentation trackball to me. I like the traveling in the imagination idea, but it takes a bit more time onscreen than I am used to. Mostly it is the commercial breaks that bug me - I almost *never* watch commercial TV anymore, and watching these episodes online after they are broadcast is much better, except that I cannot use my new HD TV.

Yes, I need a modern laptop with an HDMI output. That may come at some point.
Thanks for the Hulu information - that works with what I've already got.

No problem, most new TVs have Hulu and Netflix incorporated with them. Glad it works - I can NEVER get Psych on TV, it has to be on a notebook- so HDMI cable it is
