My main issue is I hear of all these guys that have CRX hf's and VX swaps and are getting HUGE MPG#'s and I can try and try and try and only come up with mid 40's

Im going to try to fix the FITV tonight, clean out my IACV and my TB all in one shot! Re-Fuel and report back in the morning!!

Lean Burn and Vtec both work, Its gotta be a Vac leak in the EGR or FITV

Hypermiling isn't a quick and easy thing. You have to learn and practice. It took me two years to be where I'm and I have always a lot to learn.

The best car is nothing without a good driver. Basjoos has great results because he learned how to use his car. Your mpguino will permit you to learn how use your car in a more efficient way.

Later when you'll see your today numbers you'll wonder how you could do so bad and you'll be unable to do so bad again

Have fun,

Denis.

Thanks Denis for the encouragement!!

Im new to this, and very much still learning... I guess I just thought it would be easyer, Ive read of guys getting in the mid 50's with my same setup just driving around with out any cares to MPG doing 65-75mph.

I might be learning slowly, but Im also trying to teach too!

My wife keeps asking me "Why are you telling me to up shift and slow down all of a sudden? You are always telling me to pass, and speed up!"

That was proof yesterday Im starting to get it. But you are right, I think my MPGuino will help a TON

Well..... I cleaned the fitv and iacv, I reset my ecu, I topped off the tank until I saw gas and reset the odometer... Today I started the car and it quit surging! I got on the freeway with half the throttle!

I was able to maintain leanburn with up to 3/4 pedal down! I could finally feel lean burn actually go in and out! The motor quit whistling when at 2000rpm+

I drove 50mi to work, and 50mi home. I got home and topped off the gas until I could see gas........

It took 1.212 gal of gas! It was actually a little less, but I spilled some because I didn't believe it... 82mpg!

I guess I had a he'll of a vac leak! I'm not going to officially claim 80mpg until I get a week of driving under my belt!
