ICON Helios Streamliner, inspired by classic aero and Elon Musk!

ICON 4X4 Design is one of the best tuners in the automotive world. Their mission has always been to combine the absolute best of the old and the new. They have always worked with trucks & SUVs but their new project, Helios Streamliner, is most exciting. Their pre-war aircraft/aerodynamic styling inspirations and idea sketches along with their meticulous metal coachwork would no doubt produce a beautiful example. But the most intriguing, is their great respect to Elon Musk and his creative spirit. They will build their concept on top of a Tesla Model X platform. Highly impractical but would be a beautiful effort. Icon Wants To Use A Tesla To Create This Gorgeous, One-Off Streamliner

...think Talbot-Lago T150 SS Coupe, Cord 812, Bugatti Atlantique, or even the Chrysler Atlantic concept.

ICON built the SRT-8 '50 Chrysler station wagon. Their shop is impessive:http://http://jalopnik.com/this-guy-...uvs-1453905912.

As much as I like the '30s aesthetic, I think an Edison2 type fender line would fit better on the Tesla platform.

An article in the Jalopnik sidebar says Curtis Brubaker is making a new Box:The Creator Of The Brubaker Box Has Some Big Plans For The Future. He wants to work with Tesla too.

Quote:
See, Brubaker is currently working on a project he describes as "revolutionary," an automotive technology project he's working with Tesla and Ford on. He wasn't in a position to give me any details just yet, but he did say that a modern Brubaker Box would make a "perfect platform to showcase the new tech."

The proportions of the sketches do not look right for the Tesla Model S. They are quite stylized, but if they were more accurate, I think the look would be different.

I like it. I wouldn't own one, but I love the spirit of the guy.
