I visited acrel-ms.cn Not much in English. What I see looks a lot like the Enginer kit. Enginer had problems with batteries, BMS or lack their of and converters. Some even had charger issues.

Questions:

Do you have a US distributor?

What brand and battery warranty?

What is the BMS brand and does it balance?

Dear Cobb,
Thank you for your interest. Our english version is on http: slash slash www dot acrel.en.alibaba.com Acrel Electric Co., Ltd. - Energy Meter,Smart Power Analyzer[/url]
This kit is patented in USA, and manufactured by Shanghai Acrel Co.,ltd. Shanghai Acrel Co.,ltd is a listed company, its stock code 300286.SZ you can research this. Its annual sales record reaches more than 60 million USD and on the rise. How? Good quality! We never ignored small problems. We have agents in Europe. Plug-in Autos have been cooperating with us very well. You know, they(Germans) are really very rigid with qualities. Without good quality, they would not have invested their money. They are responsible guys. We think very highly of them.
Qustions to your answer:
1. We haven't agents in USA currently and of course we will seek one or several.
2. Battery brand is RFE. This supplier invested more than 10 billion RMB(about 1.7 billion USD) in battery production. Battery warrenty 2 years.
3. DC-DC converter,BMS and charger are developed and manufactured by us. BMS is active ballancing. Currently, we are cooperating with a EV manufactuer . We supply BMS system.

If you have more prolems, you can contact me at dgl(at)acrel-ms.cn or skype me at ericdong1976 You can visit our Alibaba store.

Does it do top balancing, bottom balancing?

Do you sell the kit minus the batteries?

Are you selling kits for other cars like the Gen 1,2 Honda Insight, Gen 1,2,3 Honda Civic Hybrid and other vehicles?

Hi Cobb, we designed this kit specially for Prius and Auris. So we consider its space, its voltage and current. We didn't try them on other car brands but some of our agents tried and told us it is ok for some other brands. The main issues to consider are voltage, space, and communication.

BTW, we also sell parts besides the whole kit. The warranty is 2 years for the whole kit and all the parts. Looking forward to cooperation with you.
