Question Best engine set up for mileage?

Hi,
This might have already been discussed but I have just installed a VX (VTEC-E) motor in my '95 Civic CX and I'm curious if anyone has figured out the best plugs, plug wires, thermostat, I see oil's a major topic but I think I've got that one figured out, any engine set up tips would be much appreciated.

Mine is bone cold stock. Last Friday I drove to the DC area, with no possibility of economical driving. All Interstate in heavy traffic flowing at 72-78 MPH, with AC running on the first half of the trip.

48.9 MPG.

Only mod is tires at 44 PSI.

regards
Mech
