Indianapolis Super Mileage Challenge on April 27, 2009
The Super Mileage Challenge is an event for High School kids sponsored by the Indiana Mathmatics, Science, and Technology Education Alliance (whew, that's a mouthful).
IMSTEA
The company I work for is supporting our local High School team, and there's a small, outside chance that I might get to go. I don't know how spectator-friendly the event is, as I have never been to one. O'Reilly Raceway Park is a nice facility, though.

I used to enter events like this when I was younger, my best was 245mpg, it was alot of fun and pretty amazing what you can build on a budget.

Judging from what I've seen, it's a pretty small budget! I think they're getting over 1000 mpg's now days. And that's with carburetors! Hopefully our EFI will give our local team a boost.
And, it's confirmed! I'm going! Yah!
Stay tuned for pictures! You know how I love pictures!
(And speaking of Vibe mods, I've got one in the works... *tease tease* )

Congratulations to our Wawasee High School team for turning in 926 mpg! That's not too bad, considering that it's the first year where we outfitted them with an EFI system that was pretty much untried in this application.
Their carbon fiber shell is pretty slick, garnering them the Craftsmanship award. I think they can improve on it, though.
