The third file says :
- 1 litre petrol = 2.32 kg CO2
- 1 litre diesel = 2.54 kg CO2
So the more gas you save, the more CO2 you save. I manually calculate my CO2 saving by using a calculated mean for current french cars but I obtained 26.6g/litre for diesel and 24.6g/litre for petrol.
For other pollutants it's far more complicated and I didn't found any clear response, the studies are mainly about CO2. The second document (p.34-35) is showing very good saving :
- -50% CO,
- -33% HC and
- -25% NOx;
but the first document is showing the contrary :
- +100% CO,
- +12% HC and
- -15% NOx.

Unfortunately, I couldn't read the first PDF for some reason. If you could read it, then there must me something wrong with my PC's config.

It's always working for me. I put copies
there (please don't use it if the original works for you). The original document is in pdf1.2 format. I exported it to pdf1.4 but with the OpenSource tool I'm using its length grew from 1MB to 20MB
and zipping it saves less than 2% so I let it as is.

I like one of the quotes in the presentations :
"It's your concern when your neighbour's house is on fire." Horatius (65 to 8 B.C.)

It reminds me some Midnight Oil lyrics :
Code:
The time has come to say fair's fair
To pay the rent, now to pay our share
The time has come, a fact's a fact
It belongs to them, we're gonna give it back
How can we dance when our earth is turning
How do we sleep while our beds are burning
Have fun,
Denis.
