It's beautiful, just figure out a way to turn it around
Handmade Wood Camper Inspired By 1960s Steinbeck Novel
I know, the door is in the back but there has to be a cure for that.

Use the slide in bed one, and then have him make the trailer one "backward". And get the wheels enclosed.
I do like this part of having the non tapered part in the back. Imagine having 2 or 3 couples pull up to a deck like this and "dock".

White southern pine is good for thermal mass—the waxes act like a eutectic salt. But it would need insulation on the outside, and suddenly it's a white box again.
Compare Hütte Hut™:

Lower frontal area, and it not so dark and oppressive inside. It has pretty refined construction. The white part is an aluminum frame. And the wood ribs are little bow trusses.

I'd actually still rather want to fit some interior trim on that, and the hollow spaces between the structural members could serve for storage space.

I can't find the picture right now but it was on the cover of Sunset magazine, I think last May. It has double doors on the right-hand side so it really opens up.
