Jalopnik - How to get 99.7mpg from a geo metro

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this, as it features many key members of the site:
How To Get 99.7 Mpg From A Geo Metro

"All I know about music is that not many people ever really hear it. [...] But the man who creates the music is hearing something else, is dealing with the roar rising from the void and imposing order on it as it hits the air. What is evoked in him, then, is of another order, more terrible because it has no words, and triumphant, too, for the same reason. And his triumph, when he triumphs, is ours." -Sonny's Blues

Jalopnik has been changing. For one, they have more syndicated articles, which is a shame, because I enjoyed the work of their staff writers. This one was written "by MetroMPG.com". For another, the #ifeelgassy tag is getting lots of action, and the commentariat appear to enjoy it in moderation.

I've thought about signing up to post comments myself. I know the readers would get a kick out of my car - small, lightweight, stick shift, with a 1L but as much low-end torque as an engine twice its size. And I'm not afraid to hack apart my wiring harness and bodywork.

Traditional automotive enthusiasts will learn that some of us get our kicks off of mpg, not just g's.
