I've already got the engine/trans from my old '86 Golf that I was thinking about restoring, but there was just too much body work for me to really get into it, as well as other problems that needed to be addressed.
This way, I get to keep the engine/trans and still keep a car I love in the process, and this chassis is some 500lb lighter than the Golf was, too.
