Just joined on 9-11!

Hello everyone,

I just joined in because of my recent interest in clean burning and high MPG cars. I have been into muscle and low mpg cars for such a long time and during this economy today I thought it would be nice to push my limits with building something with high MPG! I will probably start off with something under $2500 that already gets around 40mpg. One of my favorite chassis are the 92-95 Honda Civic Hatchback EG6 models. My original plans were to build a monster 1/4 mile racer but now my heart is set on pushing the MPG limits.
I look forwards to conversing and browsing around the forums.

Thanks guys, now time to find a car!
I am actually looking for almost anything under $2000
Maybe even a B2200 mazda truck.
Anything can get better MPG in my book!

510 is next door neighbors. Try for 1996 & newer for OBD-II, something with 1.5 liter engine & MT for best mpg. I like off-beat brands like Mitsubishi, Mazda, Nissans, Hyundais.

Sure, but if you really want to push the mpg-limits, a truck isn't the best place to start
Think light, lean-burn, small displacement (<2L) or early hybrid (1 gen Insight).

A few members on here have already raised the limit a fair bit.
