Interesting. My only question is how a missile with only a 200 mile range is classified as an ICBM?

I need to watch Dr. Strangelove again.

Hughes Glomar Explorer. The US triangulated the site but the Russians didn't. I hadn't heard the missile theory.

History doesn't repeat but it does rhyme.

FWIW- my 3-wheel Chinese scooter lasted over 7 years, and it sold last month for more than I paid for it 7 years ago without even a light bulb problem. Yes; all Chinese parts! I would consider a Kandi 2 door (not a 4 door; not accessible.) This $100. deposit is way too "Elio Salesman" advertising though. I will wait for a 2 door on Amazon.

ICBM was just my term to make people think of a large tube launched nuclear missle. Maybe just a ballistic missle?

Technically the missle attempted to be launched was a SS-N-5 Serb with a 700 mile range, but they wanted the launch to look like it came from the best sub China had at the time.

Launched outside antartica or inside the Bering strait, the missile would be capable of crossing the nearby continental border.

The original use of the term was to indicate a warhead capable of being launched inside the heartland of a country that was able to attack a target somewhere in the world by using a quasi orbital path. It has been since corrupted to mean any missile carrying a nuclear explosive payload that exceeds an altitude of 100 miles

You can buy a Kandi but they aren’t crash certified becoming the first NEV with airbags and safety features, sadly no tax credit so you can’t get a $2500 EV but they are somewhere north of $10,000 depending on who and where you buy

https://youtu.be/XAp2Aod631o

China trying to avoid dot airbags to save a buck, how stupid there are only a couple compliant sources of dot airbags purchase and use problem solved.
As usual the crash test is meaningless but material sourcing is non-compliant
