Kind of interesting 100% EV feat!

It was more of a thought to me, then a joke- but it has been done now. My (manual) wheelchair fit perfectly in my City-EL, but strike 1 was one charging station in the whole county. Strike 2 was no newer apartments have or allow outlets near vehicles: so I sold the City-EL (broke down after I sold it; so I missed strike 3 ).

I bought an electric wheelchair because I could drive right inside and charge it anywhere. I went short distances around downtown where parking was bad. Put flame stickers on it. Polished up the mag wheels. Never too serious about expecting distance.

But some people do not laugh about something- they DO it! My hat is off to them:

(photo is not my wheelchair; but you get the idea )

An EcoModder could have squeezed at least 6.5mph out of those chairs, and that's BEFORE the battery upgrade.

The top speed was almost 10 for years, then in '74 or '75 one did 30. Interesting goal; but I would be screaming "I WANT OFF!" at 20 m.p.h.!
