I completed the first read the other day and am now 'gleaning',going back over my notations,red stars,yellow Hi-Liter,'n such.
Goro Tamai has filled in a lot of blanks on my 'wish list.'
Besides references to Hoerner and Abbott and von Doenhoff,he gets into materials I've never possessed,so it's rich in 'new' (to me) material.
Since so much of the research could not be modeled analytically with CFD,he leans hard on empirical studies,with numbers generated right off the load cells in the wind tunnels.No guesswork.
Every aspect of the solar racer aerodynamics is covered to excrutiating detail.
Information on the under body aero really helps flesh out the technology of extreme low drag which Hucho eludes to.
I recommend it to all.
