Seems like I read that those bumped out headlights that divert air around your mirrors are for wind noise reduction more than drag reduction.

I don't know where I saw it (probably on this forum) but somebody put streamlined blister pods on the outside of their windows with mirrors inside. Thus minimizing drag and remaining legal.
